HMC Will Hold Free Breast Exam Clinic

Holyoke Medical Center will offer a free breast exam clinic on Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at The Women's Center located at 2 Hospital Drive. The building is located directly across from the main entrance of the medical center.

The clinic will consist of a breast exam by a female physician or nurse practitioner and is open to any woman 20 years of age and over. The clinic is also an opportunity to teach women breast self-examination. No appointments are necessary.

If an abnormality is found, a mammogram will be recommended. Representatives will be on hand to contact insurance companies or refer to the medical center's financial counselors.

Free transportation services will be available for pick-up/drop off at the following locations:  200 Main Street, Holyoke between 9:15 and 10:30 a.m.; Holyoke YMCA between 9:30 and 10:45 a.m. and at the corner of Farnum Drive and Whiting Farms Road, Holyoke between 10 and 11a.m. (All times are approximate.)
