Holyoke Medical Center Earns ‘A’ Grade for Patient Safety
Holyoke Medical Center (HMC) has again earned an “A” rating from The Leapfrog Group, ranking them among the safest hospitals in the United States. The Leapfrog Group is a national patient safety watchdog assigning Hospital Safety Scores of A, B, C, D and F letter grades to hospitals nationwide.  Read more

HMC RECEIVES BABY-FRIENDLY DESIGNATION
Baby-Friendly USA announced that Holyoke Medical Center has received designation as a Baby-Friendly birth facility as part of the Baby Friendly Hospitals Initiative. Holyoke Medical Center is the first, and currently only, hospital to receive this prestigious recognition in the Pioneer Valley. This international award recognizes birth facilities that offer breastfeeding mothers the information, confidence, and skills needed to successfully initiate and continue breastfeeding their babies.  Read more

Holyoke Medical Center Breaks Ground on New Emergency Department & Medical Office Building
Holyoke Medical Center (HMC) broke ground on construction for a new state-of the-art Emergency Department that when completed, will expand the current space from 8,500 square feet to approximately 22,000 square feet. The Medical Office Building will be approximately 16,000 square feet.  Read more

Holyoke Medical Center has once again been awarded accreditation from The Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
