Oncology

For decades, Holyoke Medical Center has provided comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cancer treatments. Along with diagnosis and treatment, we offer patient education programs and a variety of screening activities.
Programs & Services

The Holyoke Medical Center Hematology/Oncology service works closely with physicians, patients, and families, as well as with other medical center departments and community agencies to provide a personal approach to caring.

We’re all different in the way we approach life, but when it comes to something like a cancer diagnosis, there is one thing that all patients have in common—wanting to know that when it comes to our care we are in the very best hands possible. The specialized services and programs offered by Holyoke Medical Center’s Oncology Department provide our patients with the assurance they want and deserve, delivering compassionate cancer treatment and care that’s nationally recognized for quality.

As the first, and currently only, hospital in Western Massachusetts to successfully complete the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, our programs and services support the individual, with treatment, guidance, and support that exceed the national standards for cancer treatment and care. This includes our Patient Navigator Program, able to provide you with specific direction and support based on your medical and personal needs.

We’re also pleased to be associated with Massachusetts Oncology Services, located on our medical center campus. Massachusetts Oncology Services provides radiation therapy and expert consultation services to help patients receive the best possible care right here, close to home.

Holyoke Medical Center's Oncology / Hematology Department, in partnership with the American Cancer Society, cordially invite all cancer survivors, thier families, and caregivers, to the Cancer Support Group. The 2013 Cancer Support Group schedule is January 8, March 12, September 10 and November 12 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, in the Fran Como Conference Room on the 1st floor of the hospital. Please contact Susan Thibault (413) 534-2510 for more information.
